About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

TruckLogics Offers A New Solution for IFTA Reporting Just In Time For The Deadline On MAY 2, 2022!

ROCK HILL, SC / ACCESSWIRE / April 26, 2022 / The deadline to finish reporting your 1st Quarter International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) is on May 2nd. With the deadline fast approaching, TruckLogics is excited to offer a new IFTA-Only feature that provides a quick and easy solution to create IFTA reports which can be printed or submitted online by the user and filed with their base jurisdiction.

When it comes to IFTA, it is always reported quarterly. The 1st Quarter is between January 1st - March 31st and the 1st Quarter deadline is typically April 30th, but because that day falls on a weekend this year, the deadline for 1st Quarter 2022 is May 2nd. If a truck driver drives across different state jurisdictions then IFTA must be reported. The miles traveled and the amount of fuel purchased in each jurisdiction has to be included in this report.

TruckLogics offers a one-stop solution for easy IFTA reporting. All that is needed is the truck's information, distance traveled and fuel purchased in each jurisdiction. TruckLogics provides many options for you to enter this information. You can choose to enter the details manually, in bulk, or from an existing Excel spreadsheet.

TruckLogics also partners with ELDs for importing data directly into TruckLogics. TruckLogics will automatically do tax calculations based on the IFTA tax rates and update them automatically. It will also check the report and identify any errors. After any potential errors are resolved, the IFTA report can easily be printed or formatted each state-specific format depending on the requirements of the specific jurisdiction. IFTA reports can be quickly and easily accessed in TruckLogics for the convenience of the driver.

When asked about the upcoming 1st Quarter IFTA deadline, the CEO and Co-Founder, Agie Sundaram, of SPAN Enterprises, the parent company of TruckLogics, responded, "Our team is here to offer an excellent IFTA reporting solution with a team that is just as excellent to provide support in both English and Spanish.
