Leland Richards Joins Adams Street as Partner to Support Private Credit Growth

Adams Street Sees Significant Growth Opportunities for its Private Credit Business

Adams Street Partners, LLC, a private markets investment management firm with $45 billion of assets under management, announced today that Leland Richards joined the firm as a Partner on the Private Credit Team on April 30, 2021. Mr. Richards will support all aspects of the decision-making process of the Private Credit Team, including sourcing, structuring, performing due diligence, and negotiating investment opportunities as well as helping shape the strategic direction of the business.

Mr. Richards most recently served as Managing Director at Churchill Asset Management, where he worked in their sponsor coverage group originating and underwriting loans for middle market buyouts. Prior to that, Mr. Richards spent four years at GE Capital where he was a Managing Director, again originating sponsor-backed private credit transactions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Richards worked on the Leveraged Finance Team at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Richards has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Pratt Institute and an MBA in finance from the Boston College Carroll Graduate School of Management.
