  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.

University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies Leaders and Scholars Participate in 13th Annual The Qualitative Review Conference

Scholars will be presenting at event focused on qualitative research methodology

Faculty and graduate students with the University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies join the proceedings of The Qualitative Review (TQR) 13th Annual Conference, “Research ‘For a Change’: Time to Evoke, Provoke, and Invoke,” taking place January 19-21, 2022.

The event is intended for the qualitative research community, and the theme invites qualitative researchers to share how they are examining the aspects of how, who, what, where, when, why, as well as self-reflection as critical to qualitative research methodology, and to also consider the social impact of research. The event offers over presentations, workshops, and panels with presenters from around the world.

“University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies has a keen focus on qualitative research, and this is a great opportunity for our scholars, both students and faculty, to share their findings, as well as examine their research process and influences,” states Hinrich Eylers, Ph.D., P.E., vice provost, College of Doctoral Studies at University of Phoenix.

Multiple scholars and researchers, both faculty and graduate students, were accepted for the TQR from University of Phoenix this year, including the following panels and presentations:

  • Erik Bean, Ed.D., and LauraAnn Migliore, Ph.D., with the Center for Leadership Studies and Organizational Research (CLSOR) at University of Phoenix, will present “A Self-Assessment Model to Vet Published Information Bias to Help Maintain Civil Discourse.”
  • Kimberly Underwood, Ph.D., chair, Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research (CWDIR), University of Phoenix, will present with Christa Banton, Ed.D., and Jose Garza, DHA, MBA, on “Faculty Support During a Pandemic.”
  • Mansureh Kebritchi, Ph.D., chair, Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research (CEITR) at University of Phoenix, will present with Thomas James Sloan, MBA, William L. McClain, DSL, and Lesley Pyron, DNP, on “Reshaping Practitioner Higher Education Institutions to Serve Adult Learners: The COVID-19 Pandemic Implications.”
  • Karen Johnson, Ed.D., Research Methodology Group leader in CEITR, will lead a workshop, “Observational Data Collection for Qualitative Research.”
