Kenneth J. Kito, CFP® Joins Fiduciary Trust International as Wealth Director in New York Office

Organization Continues to Grow its New York Headquarters

Fiduciary Trust International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, announces that Kenneth J. Kito, CFP® has joined the firm as a wealth director based in the New York office.

“Ken’s expertise and track record of producing strong results in support of sales and growth goals will help us ensure consistent communication about, and delivery of, strategies across equity, fixed income, and alternatives,” said Anne Fitzpatrick Donahue, regional managing director responsible for Fiduciary Trust International’s New York office. “New York and the surrounding markets comprise a vital region for our organization, and Ken is exactly the type of focused and talented professional we look for as we expand our office here.”

Mr. Kito joins Fiduciary Trust International from its parent company Franklin Templeton, where he served as territory specialist for retail U.S. distribution in Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey. He came to Franklin Templeton via its acquisition of Legg Mason in 2020. Mr. Kito held the position of assistant vice president of U.S. distribution at Legg Mason Global Asset Management, where he served as the dedicated point of contact for clients across the national wirehouse industry as well as independent wealth management firms. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kito was a portfolio advisor at Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Kito reports to Ms. Donahue, and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. He graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor of science in financial management and economics.

“I became familiar with Fiduciary Trust International and its mission while working at Franklin Templeton,” said Mr. Kito. “I am looking forward to partnering with my new colleagues to further streamline the sales process, with the goal of bringing financial peace of mind to more clients in the Greater New York region.”

In August 2023, Fiduciary Trust International announced that Christina D’Elia as trust counsel in its New York office. Kimberly Rescorla, who is also based in New York, was named director of trust administration at the firm in June 2023. In addition, Anne Fitzpatrick Donahue was appointed regional managing director responsible for the New York office in May 2023.

Fiduciary Trust International’s New York-based professionals have received local industry recognition. Most recently, Rod Sayegh, head of digital strategy, was recognized by Crain’s New York Business as one of its “Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders”—and Carin L. Pai, CFA, executive vice president and head of portfolio management and equities, was honored with a Pathfinder Award from Wealth Solutions Report as the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Portfolio Manager of the Year.
