Barclays Honored As Recipient Of Forrester’s 2023 Security & Risk Enterprise Leadership Award

Barclays is transforming its security, privacy, and risk strategy to strengthen stakeholder trust and achieve business growth

Forrester (Nasdaq: FORR) today announced that Barclays has been named the recipient of its Security & Risk Enterprise Leadership Award. Barclays is honored for excellence in designing and executing a security, privacy, and risk behavior framework that places employees and organizational culture at the center of its strategy to build trust with customers and clients. Barclays will be recognized at Forrester’s Security & Risk Forum, taking place in Washington, D.C., and digitally, November 14–15, 2023.

Within its universal banking operations, Barclays has made a sustained effort to cultivate an environment of trust and transparency on behalf of its key stakeholders. In addition to developing human risk behavior metrics that are transforming the bank’s security culture, Barclays has overhauled its approach to awareness and training through its internal “Smarter Together” campaign. By partnering with business leaders to develop and deliver strong security messages, this campaign empowers employees to increase their knowledge and equips them with the skills they need to protect the bank, themselves, and their families from security risks.

Barclays is also ensuring the safety of its customers by conducting routine risk assessments and breach and attack exercises grounded in real-world data, up-to-date threat intelligence, and recent attack methodologies.
