About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

TradeStation Cares Gives Back to its Community this Holiday Season

TradeStation Cares works with local organizations and charities to support Samaritan’s Purse, Joshua’s Heart Foundation, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

TradeStation Group, Inc. (“TradeStation”), a Florida-based company whose operating subsidiaries provide award-winning*, self-clearing online brokerage services for trading stocks, ETFs, options, futures, and crypto that aim to offer the ultimate trading experience, announces a series of events in which it participates during the holiday season to give back to its community as part of TradeStation Cares.

TradeStation Cares is an employee-led initiative that focuses on helping those in need in and around our community by connecting with a variety of organizations and charities. Throughout the year, team members identify and select various causes to support, aiming to enrich lives, improve financial literacy, and uplift the overall health and well-being of the individuals and families they touch.

“With the holiday season upon us, it’s more important than ever to give back to our communities that are in need of support during this time,” said Jessica Pione, Chief People Officer of TradeStation. “At TradeStation, our employees are the heart and soul of our company, and they continue to amaze me with their commitment to take deep care of their communities. We look forward to continuing to help those in need by raising money and volunteering for years to come.”

Below is a list of events TradeStation was participating in this holiday season:

Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child

At TradeStation’s Florida office, the company hosted a Christmas packing party to provide kids gifts on behalf of Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. TradeStation had support from University of Miami (“UM”) students, who helped pack boxes with the TradeStation team alongside UM mascot Sebastian the Ibis to spread cheer and support. TradeStation volunteers surpassed the goal of 500 shoeboxes and successfully donated 1,112! This means over one thousand children are receiving boxes full of gifts, toys, hygiene items, and school supplies this year.

Joshua’s Heart Foundation

TradeStation Cares identified Joshua's Heart Foundation for a Thanksgiving Giveaway and donated 1,000 bags with supplies and food. Joshua’s Heart served 1,000 families this Thanksgiving and TradeStation employees volunteered to pack ingredients and food for families in need.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Golf Outing

On Dec. 4, 2023, TradeStation was the Trophy Sponsor at a South Florida golf outing to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national charity whose mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to cure childhood cancer. The event raised about $180,000 for this important cause.
