The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (“BBBSA”), with respect to their recent data breach. On November 22, 2023, BBBSA informed individuals that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. According to BBBSA, they determined that information stored on their servers may have been subject to unauthorized access on March 28, 2023. BBBSA determined that the information exposed in the data breach varies but includes: full name, Social Security number, date of birth, driver’s license number and/or state identification number, payment card number, account number, account type, routing number, institution name, email address and password, medical information and health insurance information.
