Diamond Sports Group Names Meredith Powers Chief Human Resources Officer

Diamond Sports Group, LLC ("DSG," "Diamond," or the "Company"), today announced that Meredith Powers has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Powers will serve as Diamond’s first Chief Human Resources Officer, effective March 8th. In this role, Ms. Powers will be responsible for leading DSG’s HR organization, including talent management, leadership development, compensation and benefits, and diversity and inclusion. Ms. Powers will report directly to DSG Chief Executive Officer, David Preschlack.

Ms. Powers has more than two decades of Human Resources experience and joins Diamond from GE Digital, where she served as Organization and Talent Development Leader.

Preschlack stated, “We are pleased to welcome Meredith to Diamond’s senior leadership team. As we work to further establish Diamond as an independent company and substantially improve our balance sheet, we recognize that our people are critically important to our ongoing operations, and Meredith will be instrumental in managing key functions for our industry-leading staff. Meredith’s Human Resources expertise, background in the regional sports network industry and track record of aligning HR strategy with business priorities make her an ideal addition to our team.”

Powers stated, “I am excited to be joining Diamond and to be back in the RSN business at such a pivotal time for local sports broadcasting. I look forward to being a part of shaping the future of how sports fans connect with their teams and communities.”

As previously announced, the Company has exercised a grace period for interest payments due on certain outstanding debt while it continues progressing ongoing discussions with creditors and other key stakeholders regarding potential strategic alternatives and deleveraging transactions to best position Diamond Sports Group for the future. The Company expects that its business will continue as usual, and it will keep broadcasting quality live sports productions for fans while addressing its balance sheet.

About Meredith Powers

Ms. Powers brings more than 20 years of Human Resources experience in media, financial services and technology to Diamond Sports Group, most recently serving as Organization and Talent Development Leader for GE Digital, where she was responsible for global talent strategy and execution, including performance, development, learning, executive talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion. Before joining GE Digital, Ms. Powers was Vice President of Human Resources at NBC Sports Group, where she provided HR leadership for the NBC Regional Sports Networks and the NBC Sports Group corporate functions. Prior to her time in NBC Sports Group, she held various Human Resources roles at NBC Universal and GE Capital. Ms. Powers has a M.S. in H.R. Management from the New School University and a B.A. from Seton Hall University.
