Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament Extends Registration Deadline Until Friday at Midnight and Announces Event Sponsors

Less than a week until tip-off of California’s largest outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament returning to L.A. LIVE’s Peacock Place from August 5-6, the Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament has today announced an extended registration deadline. Teams can now register to compete in the tournament from now until Friday, July 28th at midnight.

Official sponsors of the Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament have also been announced for this year’s event including Nike Basketball who will return as the presenting partner of the competition and as the presenting partner for the Elite Division, Teen Division, and the Slam Dunk Contest for the 11th year.

Other event sponsors include UCLA Health, U.S. Army, POWERADE, Pernod Ricard, Anheuser-Busch and LA Magazine.

UCLA Health is designated as the presenting sponsor for the Youth Division and the First Aid Area and Medical Tent. The health care provider will also provide complimentary sunscreen stations for fans and participants throughout the L.A. LIVE campus.

U.S. Army is the presenting sponsor of the Adult Division and will have an on-site booth featuring a 360 photobooth, fitness competition, and giveaways. POWERADE will provide their official sports drink and waters to teams on Center Court, Referees, VIPs and the Medical Tent, in addition to prominent branding on all Center Court backboards and along the Center Court baseline.

Pernod Ricard will be activating a branded bar in the Beer Garden through Martell Cognac. Anheuser-Busch will also have an activation within the Beer Garden through its Michelob ULTRA label.

LA Magazine provided various marketing and media support through their robust media network of assets.

Complete team registration begins at $200 for the UCLA Heath Youth Division (ages 8-13), $200 for the Nike Teen Division (ages 14-18), $220 for U.S. Army Adult Division (ages 19+) and $260 for the Nike Elite Division (ages 18+). Captains can form their teams and make changes, free of charge, until July 28th. After this date there will be a $20 charge per player change until the rosters freeze on August 3rd. Registration for Special Olympics and Wheelchair divisions are free to enter while the FIBA 3x3 division is by invitation only. Registration can be done online at the Nike 3ON3 official website.

An anticipated 1,500 teams and 6,000 players will compete across 75 basketball courts in the seven different divisions-- International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Nike Elite, U.S. Army Adult, Nike Teen, UCLA Health Youth, Special Olympics and Wheelchair. An expected 25,000 spectators are set to be in attendance.
