About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Verint Earns Great Place To Work Certifications (Graphic: Business Wire)

The prestigious certification is based entirely on what current employees or “Verinteers” say about their experience working at Verint – results are gathered from the Trust Index survey administered by the Great Place To Work Institute, which assesses employee satisfaction in key areas, from credibility and respect to fairness and inclusion.

Verint achieved certification in multiple countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Macedonia, Singapore, United Kingdom, and United States. This year globally 84 percent of Verinteers said the company is a great place to work.

In Verint’s U.S. profile, for example, 82 percent of Verinteers said it’s a great place to work – which is notably higher than 57 percent of employees that say the same at a typical American company. Other distinguished points from Verint’s certification results include:

  • 95 percent of Verinteers said they are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation, race, gender and age.
  • 91 percent surveyed said when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.
  • 90 percent of Verinteers surveyed said people care about each other at Verint.

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Verint stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

We are thrilled to be Great Place To Work-Certified as we consider employee experience a top priority every day. We’re grateful for the feedback Verinteers provided through the survey on what’s going well and where we can improve,” says Verint’s Dan Bodner, chairman and CEO. “Achieving certification in so many countries is a testament to our global community of passionate Verinteers, united in our mission to create innovative solutions for the world’s biggest brands and help them deliver an elevated customer experience. Verinteers have created the positive workplace culture that earned this incredible recognition. We celebrate and thank them for all they do.”

Like many organizations, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, Verint transitioned its global workforce to a fully remote workforce overnight to protect Verinteers and help ensure their well-being. Shortly after, based on feedback from Verinteers, the Workplace Reimagined initiative was born and focused on three key areas:

  • Culture and Employee Experience to promote work-life balance, health and well-being, rewards and recognition.
  • Enhanced Workplace Technology that offers more automation, self-service, collaboration and training to support a work-from-anywhere culture.
  • Enriched Workspaces whether working from home, hybrid or in an office offering state-of-the-art collaboration tools and opportunities to share ideas and drive innovation.

The transformation has been successful. Verinteers enjoy greater engagement, productivity and collaboration as a result of Workplace Reimagined.

What Sets Great Place To Work Certified Companies Apart

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93 percent more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
