About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Major milestones, successful launches and expanding on-orbit capabilities highlight a successful year for the innovative space mission enabler

Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU), an innovative and agile space mission enabler, today announced a year of significant achievements in 2024, marking a period of transformative growth and strategic milestones. With key launches, groundbreaking partnerships and expanding customer relationships, we believe Sidus is well-positioned to continue delivering innovative solutions and scalable data services in 2025.

Key Highlights from 2024:

  • Successfully launched LizzieSat™-1 in March and LizzieSat™-2 in December, establishing Sidus’ micro-constellation for hosted payloads and delivering near real-time solutions for our customers’ mission critical needs.
  • Selected to exclusively design and build the first-generation lunar fleet of Data Storage Spacecraft for Lonestar Data Holdings, a provider of premium data storage and Resiliency-as-a-Service (RAAS), which reinforces the adaptability of the LizzieSat™ platform.
  • Obtained FCC approval to operate a micro constellation of remote sensing, multi-mission satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) (LizzieSat™2-5), positioning the company for continued growth.

In addition, Sidus made significant progress on its strategic initiatives including growing its customer base, expanding key partnerships, delivering performance excellence, driving innovation and strengthening its capital position, board and leadership team.

Growing Customer Base Across Multiple Business Areas

  • Integrated HEO Holmes Imager aboard LizzieSat™-2 and secured follow-on agreement for payload hosting and data services for LizzieSat™-3.
  • Secured contract with Xiomas Technologies to supply FeatherEdge™ computing system for fire detection via high-altitude infrared imaging.
  • Awarded $2 million contract from Craig Technologies to manufacture two fleet interactive display equipment (FIDE) pre-production unit main panels for U.S. Navy Propulsion systems.
  • Awarded subcontract on the $30M Intuitive Machines-led Moon RACER team for the NASA Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services (LTVS) contract in support of the Agency’s Artemis Campaign.

Expanding Key Partnerships

  • Signed an MOU with NamaSys Bahrain to establish “Sidus Arabia,” a Joint Venture headquartered in Saudi Arabia, to develop a satellite manufacturing facility and pursue joint initiatives.
