Lygos to Open Pioneering Sustainable Solutions Center for High Performance Products

The fully-integrated site enables Lygos and collaborators to advance the development process from lab-scale to pilot-scale and seamlessly transfer to commercial-scale, and is expected to be operational in Q4, 2024

Lygos, Inc., a sustainable specialty chemical company, announced today plans to open a state-of-the-art Sustainable Solutions Center in Hayward, CA. Designed as a commercial launch facility, Lygos will scale production of bio-inspired solutions that are designed to replace persistent and carbon intensive chemicals with products that are better, cleaner, and cost effective. The end-to-end solution center will accelerate the development of new, sustainable products for Lygos and its customers.

“Our focus is on the customer to thoroughly understand challenges, anticipate issues, provide real solutions, and Collaborate to AccelerateTM to meet their highest performance and sustainability goals,” said Eric Steen, CEO of Lygos. “The Sustainable Solutions Center will enable us to scale high-performing products and provide a launch pad for multiple high-value products in the future.”

The Sustainable Solutions Center will serve as Lygos’ new headquarters and support product application development alongside advanced biology, chemistry, and pilot manufacturing capabilities. The fully-integrated site will provide an ideal space for collaboration among Lygos' world class team of scientists, application experts and market facing employees; while also serving as an interactive innovation hub for Lygos’ customers and other partners throughout the value chain.
