About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Portland Medicaid Transportation Driver Ben Fasulo Earns Modivcare Maine Driver of the Month

Modivcare Inc. (the “Company” or “Modivcare”) (Nasdaq: MODV), a technology-enabled healthcare services company that provides a platform of integrated supportive care solutions focused on improving health outcomes, is pleased to announce Portland resident Ben Fasulo has earned recognition as Modivcare Maine’s Driver of the Month. Mr. Fasulo is a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) driver responsible for transporting Maine Medicaid members between their home and medical appointments, when those individuals have transportation barriers that would otherwise impact their ability to access healthcare.

Since 2014, Modivcare has grown its NEMT provider network in Maine from 10 to more than 60 providers across the state, many of whom are women and/or minority-owned small businesses, collectively employing more than 500 active, compliant and credentialed drivers. Modivcare providers exceed state requirements for service and consistently deliver efficient, safe and on-time transportation for Maine Medicaid members. Modivcare's dedication to punctuality is reflected in our impressive track record, with on-time performance averaging over 94% and consistently surpassing our contractual service obligations. Additionally, we have maintained exceptionally low levels of member complaints and vehicle unavailability, both of which are consistently below 0.1%.

Each month, Modivcare names a driver that has shown reliability, adaptability, overall attitude and client satisfaction. Mr. Fasulo is a team player who has gone above and beyond over the past year and is now training to be a trainer for other drivers. Mr. Fasulo is known for taking on extra trips and offering a helping hand whenever needed.

“Ben volunteers for Saturdays whenever needed, which is frequently,” Modivcare Maine’s Fleet Manager Susan Taylor said. “He regularly does Random Field Inspections for us for all the time and is currently in a class to learn to be a trainer so that he can train our drivers on wheelchair transportation.”

Mr. Fasulo is proud of the distinction and says a lot of his dedication is owed to him loving his job.

“I enjoy driving itself but when it comes to driving for Modivcare, I love meeting these people every day that are just thankful I’m here to help,” Mr. Fasulo said. “Assisting people that have mobility issues gives me a feeling of accomplishment like I am really making a difference in their life.”
