About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Bridgenext Strengthens Product Development Expertise with CodeScience Acquisition

Combined experience and expertise to empower clients’ digital realization journeys

Bridgenext, a digital consulting services leader specializing in technology, data, and creative marketing solutions, today announced it has expanded its product development capabilities with the acquisition of CodeScience, a technology consulting firm with deep expertise in product development across the Salesforce ecosystem. The CodeScientists join Bridgenext’s global team of consultants, engineers, creatives and data strategists focused on empowering clients to achieve digital realization. Michael Utell, CEO of CodeScience, will remain with Bridgenext and continue in his role.

The addition of CodeScience’s unique ability to design, build and deploy bespoke applications that power clients’ businesses, as well as those of their end customers, complements Bridgenext’s strong footprint in the Salesforce ecosystem and its existing product development depth.

With over 15 years as a Salesforce partner, Bridgenext, formerly Wave6, has helped numerous companies grow and evolve with the Salesforce platform, working from design to execution and ongoing development on thousands of distinct projects. Likewise, since its founding in 2008, CodeScience has built more than 400 solutions for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), having engineered many of the highest grossing applications on the Salesforce AppExchange. CodeScience has also collaborated directly with Salesforce on the development of industry cloud products.

The expanded services suite now positions Bridgenext as a unique provider that can develop, implement and integrate solutions across Salesforce – delivering quicker time to market, simplified technical delivery and faster value realization of client investments.

“We are excited to combine the deep product development expertise of CodeScience with the implementation and integration knowhow of Bridgenext,” said John Castleman, CEO of Bridgenext. “Together we will deliver value for clients that require both custom application development and complex implementation support, as well as for ISVs who can now tap into Bridgenext’s extended portfolio of consulting, technology and data expertise.”

“Bridgenext stands to deliver a new level of excellence to Salesforce customers,” Utell said. “Whereas traditional integrators simply ensure business needs are met, Bridgenext now has the ability to build, support, and, most importantly, scale client solutions with a product-based methodology to ensure companies are realizing the full value of their Salesforce investments.”

The Bridgenext and CodeScience teams will be attending Dreamforce, Salesforce’s largest user event, from September 17-19 in San Francisco, CA. For more information about conference participation and how to connect visit: https://www.bridgenext.com/dreamforce-2024/
