About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Stellar Cyber Names David McKeough Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Next Phase of Hypergrowth

Strategic appointment strengthens partner-led expansion and reinforces Stellar Cyber’s leadership position in cybersecurity operations.

Stellar Cyber, the cybersecurity illumination company, today announced the appointment of David McKeough as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). McKeough brings more than two decades of proven leadership in cybersecurity and enterprise growth, positioning Stellar Cyber to seize its next stage of expansion.

McKeough is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with over 22 years of experience leading high-performing teams and driving growth across U.S. Federal, SLED, and global markets. He has managed organizations ranging from $21M to $350M in revenue, delivering consistent results by aligning customer needs, partner ecosystems, and product innovation.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Stellar Cyber at this critical inflection point,” said David McKeough, Chief Revenue Officer. “The company’s platform, proven AI foundation, and strong MSSP presence are exactly what the market needs. Stellar Cyber has been a leader in AI long before today’s GenAI wave, and I look forward to working with the team to take this business to the next level.”

Throughout his career, McKeough has held senior leadership roles at McAfee, Digital Guardian, CrowdStrike, and Secure Code Warrior, where he scaled global teams, built go-to-market strategies, executed mergers and acquisitions, and captured market share in fiercely competitive industries. His rare perspective—shaped by early success in the channel and later at major security companies—uniquely equips him to bridge customer, partner, and product priorities with measurable impact.

“David’s track record speaks for itself—he knows how to scale our team, energize partners and customers, and deliver strong growth,” said Changming Liu, Stellar Cyber CEO. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to Stellar Cyber as we accelerate our journey to become the de facto choice for MSSPs, MDRs, and enterprise SecOps teams worldwide.”

McKeough joins Stellar Cyber at a pivotal time in the cybersecurity arms race, as organizations confront exploding data volumes and increasingly sophisticated threats. With Stellar Cyber’s AI-driven platform founded in 2015—well before today’s GenAI wave—the company is uniquely positioned to lead the next era of AI-powered cybersecurity.

As CRO, McKeough will focus on:

  • Accelerating Stellar Cyber’s go-to-market strategy and driving global partner expansion.
  • Expanding leadership in the MSSP/MDR space, building on Stellar Cyber’s strong presence with 33% of the global top 250 MSSPs.
  • Delivering growth at scale by combining enterprise expertise with deep channel leadership.
