CAIS Advisors to Launch CAIS Sports, Media and Entertainment Fund, Selects Arctos and Eldridge as Core Independent Managers
The 1940 Act-registered tender offer fund will provide accredited investors with access to major sports leagues, TV/film, and IP across music, live events, and more
CAIS, the leading alternative investment platform for independent financial advisors, through its registered investment advisor, CAIS Advisors, today announced that the registration statement for CAIS Sports, Media and Entertainment Fund (the “Fund”) has been declared effective. The Fund is registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and provides access to sports, media, and entertainment (“SME”) assets for accredited investors. The Fund anticipates commencing operations on or around January 2, 2026.
CAIS Advisors has selected Arctos and Eldridge as core independent managers. The Fund aims to provide exposure to a portfolio that includes franchises in all five major North American professional sports leagues (professional American football, NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS), leading film and television companies, iconic music catalogs, live event properties, and other entertainment assets. The Fund will also offer investment minimums as low as $25,000 and the potential for semi-annual liquidity.
“We have selected Arctos and Eldridge as core independent managers for their established track records, deep sector expertise, and ability to identify distinctive opportunities, which align with our commitment to delivering innovative investment solutions,” said Matt Brown, Founder and CEO of CAIS. “We believe the Fund will be well positioned to provide accredited investors the opportunity to participate in industries that have historically been difficult to access, yet influence culture in significant ways.”
The Fund intends to make commitments to new and existing fund interests, via primary investments, secondary investments, and co-investments – as part of its SME investment strategy. CAIS Advisors will oversee portfolio management for the Fund, led by Neil Blundell and Sarah Jiang as Co-Portfolio Managers.
“Sports, media, and entertainment are part of the broader attention economy, tilting the portfolio towards where consumers choose to spend their time and focus,” said Neil Blundell, CIO of CAIS Advisors. “We anticipate an initial portfolio will collectively provide exposure to 30+ sports franchises, film and television assets, music catalogs, live event properties, and other investments.”
