About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Real Chemistry Deepens Leadership Bench with Industry Elites Jeff Lupinacci and Julia Gaebler, Ph.D.

Lupinacci will serve as the company’s new chief financial officer while Gaebler will assume the newly created role of president of market access

Real Chemistry, a leader in AI-driven insights and marketing communications for the healthcare sector, today announced the appointment of Jeff Lupinacci as Chief Financial Officer and Julia Gaebler, Ph.D., as President, Market Access. These strategic hires underscore Real Chemistry's commitment to driving innovation and meeting the evolving needs of its clients.

"Bringing Jeff and Julia on board is happening at a pivotal time for Real Chemistry," says Shankar Narayanan, CEO. "The healthcare industry is changing fast and having leaders who understand the nuances of financial management and market access is more crucial than ever. Jeff's financial leadership will ensure we manage our resources strategically, allowing us to support innovation and growth. Julia's deep expertise in commercial strategy and market access will help us connect with our clients in more meaningful ways and adapt to their evolving needs, which will ultimately enhance the healthcare experience for everyone. Their fresh perspectives will give us the edge we need to make bold moves and deliver exceptional value in this transformative era for our industry."

Lupinacci is a seasoned and versatile financial executive with deep expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation. His career spans senior leadership roles at both Interpublic Group and Omnicom, where he served as Global CFO for their media, e-commerce and public relations divisions, managing revenues exceeding $1.6 billion annually. Lupinacci has successfully spearheaded numerous M&A and private equity transactions, both in the U.S. and internationally, and has led initiatives that significantly improved profit margins, financial system conversions, and large-scale business transformations.

In addition to his corporate roles, Lupinacci serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association (AMA), where he contributes to advancing the organization’s financial strategy and operations. He began his career at JP Morgan Chase & Co. and earned a B.A. from Providence College.

Lupinacci replaces Craig Abolt, who served as CFO since 2021. Abolt successfully led several operational and IT transformations during his tenure and designed a strong finance, IT and operations team, setting a solid foundation for the company's industry-leading growth.

Julia Gaebler, Ph.D., has over 30 years of experience in business growth, corporate and commercial strategy, and market access for emerging public, venture capital, and private equity-backed pharmaceutical, biotech, and professional services companies. Before joining Real Chemistry, she held leadership roles such as general manager and global head of market access at Cytel, chief business officer at Lucy Therapeutics, and partner at Health Advances, where she built and scaled the global market access practice. In the past, Gaebler notably led market access and commercial strategy at Milestone Pharmaceuticals, late-stage health economics and outcomes research at Biogen, and HEOR, pricing, and policy at Amylin. She successfully launched five products in multiple sclerosis, hemophilia, type 2 diabetes, and HIV/AIDS.

Recognized as an expert in health policy, Gaebler has held adjunct roles at UCLA, UC San Diego, and the Pardee RAND Graduate School. She has co-authored over 65 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals like Nature and the Journal of Pediatrics. Gaebler earned her Ph.D. in health policy from Harvard, an M.A. in international economics from Johns Hopkins, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

In her new role, Gaebler will lead a seasoned team of experts in Real Chemistry’s Market Access practice, reporting to Kevin Johnson, Group President and Managing Partner.

“Market access is a key capability we’re focused on growing,” says Johnson. “Our strong foundation in data and analytics gives us a unique edge in helping clients get their therapies to patients. We see huge opportunities both in the U.S. and globally, and Julia’s global experience will be an important asset. Ensuring patients' access to innovative therapies is more complex than ever, with rising healthcare costs and evolving reimbursement criteria. Julia’s expertise will be crucial in helping our clients navigate these challenges and deliver life-saving treatments.”
