CBL Properties Announces Officer Promotions

CBL Properties (NYSE: CBL) today announced several promotions including one promotion to Senior Vice President and five new Vice Presidents.

Lebovitz, chief executive officer of CBL Properties. “Their dedication, leadership, and ongoing commitment to CBL have been instrumental to our success, and we look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to make in their new roles.”

Karen Walker was promoted to Senior Vice President – Technology Solutions. Karen joined the CBL team in 2014 and throughout her tenure has assumed increasing responsibilities, including roles as a programmer, business and supply chain analyst, and business intelligence. In 2021, she was promoted to Vice President – Technology Solutions and is responsible for overseeing CBL’s technology solutions department. Karen’s leadership, creativity, and solutions-oriented mindset has been integral in enhancing CBL’s technological capabilities to better meet the needs of the company. Karen holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Indiana University.

Janine Atiyeh was promoted to Vice President – People & Culture. Janine joined the CBL team in 2006 as an HR Manager and was promoted to director in 2014, and then senior director in 2016. Janine oversees activities related to recruiting, team member development and training, investigations, and compliance. Janine’s unwavering commitment to CBL’s culture is evident. She serves on the leadership team for two of CBL’s engagement groups – CBL Fit and the company’s United Way Campaign Committee. Janine holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Greg Gibson was promoted to Vice President – Financial Operations. Greg joined CBL as a budget analyst in 2015 and has consistently demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). During his career at CBL, he has been promoted multiple times, including Manager of FP&A, Director of Financial Operations, and Senior Director of Financial Operations in 2021, 2022, and 2023, respectively. Greg has played a pivotal role in streamlining CBL’s financial processes, enhancing the accuracy of forecasts, and improving financial reporting. Bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, Greg will help oversee CBL’s property and corporate forecasting. Greg earned his B.A. in Accounting from the University of West Georgia.

Rachel Hanan was promoted to Vice President - Financial Operations. Rachel began her career at CBL in 2015 as a budget analyst. Throughout her tenure, she has consistently taken on increasing responsibilities, showcasing her extensive functional knowledge, strong leadership and relationship building capabilities. Since joining CBL, Rachel has been promoted multiple times, including Manager of Budgeting, Director of Budgeting, and Senior Director of Budgeting in 2020, 2022, and 2023, respectively.

In this new role, Rachel will continue to help lead the creation of CBL’s annual budget, as well as forecasting revenues and expenses on a quarterly basis, and ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic goals. Rachel earned a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Tracy Robbins-Laws was promoted to Vice President – Operations Services. Tracy first worked for CBL in the 1980s when the company assumed third-party management of The Mall at Johnson City in Johnson City, Tennessee. In 1997, Tracy joined CBL as the Property Accounts Manager (PAM) at Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was later promoted to Regional PAM in 2006. This role provided Tracy with a comprehensive understanding of Operations Services, leading to her appointment as Director – Operations Services when CBL centralized back-office functions to the home office in 2015. In 2021, Tracy was promoted to Senior Director – Operations Services, and as Vice President, she will oversee the back-office lease administration activities, including tenant billings, collections, and recoveries. Tracy earned her B.A. in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from East Tennessee State University.

David Robinson was promoted to Vice President – Mixed Use. David’s real estate career began in 2002 where he excelled in tenant and landlord brokerage. David went on to spend five years with Kite Realty Group as National Restaurant & Peripheral Manager. David joined CBL in 2012 as the National Director of Mall Restaurants and Entertainment and was later promoted to Senior Director – Mixed Use. David excels at building relationships, both internally and externally, and consistently adds value by introducing new concepts from restaurants, entertainment operators, and other mixed uses. David attended the University of South Carolina and Indiana University.
