Alight Announces New Release of Alight Worklife®, Elevating Employee Experience and Benefits Management

First release of 2025 offers Microsoft Teams integration, IRA support, and enhancements to health navigation, leave management and reporting

The release enhances Alight’s core health, wealth, wellbeing, navigation, and absence management solutions, transforming employee benefits interactions and strengthening the Alight Benefits Advantage™ value proposition for employers.

Alight Worklife® integration with Microsoft Teams

The Alight Worklife for Microsoft Teams integration brings powerful Alight Worklife features directly into the Teams environment for employees, enabling them to engage with their benefits in the flow of their everyday work. Employees with access to this integration benefit from a seamless and secure way to view benefits, receive AI-powered recommendations, and a 24/7 Interactive Virtual Assistant to answer questions and provide guidance, all within the Teams environment.

Expanded AI innovation and Benefits experience enhancements

The first release for 2025 includes updates that continue to build on Alight’s AI-powered capabilities, as well as upgraded user experience features to streamline processes, improve access and provide deeper insights for both employers and employees.

AI-powered enhancements

  • New Employer Reporting and Analytics platform: Offers comprehensive insights and enhanced decision-making capabilities, unifying reporting across all of Alight’s benefits solutions. Powered by the Alight LumenAI™ engine, the Reporting and Analytics platform improves and simplifies access to data, while also helping employers with AI-driven insights that uncover trends and opportunities in their data to make more informed decisions.
  • Expanded AI automation in claims processing: Includes an expanded range of claim and document types, including dental and vision, among other claims.

Enhanced platform capabilities

  • Enhanced shared access: Allows spouses and partners with additional access to health plan information and financial resources while maintaining privacy.
  • Extensive programs library: Alight’s Programs Library now features over 188 integrated vendors, including recent partners such as Carrot Fertility, Journey and Lyra Health. The library serves as a central hub for wellbeing, with AI-powered personalization that engages employees with the right program at the right time.

Retirement growth, savings and management support

The latest release of Alight Worklife includes Alight’s new product, Alight IRA, a secure, versatile retirement savings solution that offers both Traditional and Roth options, easy rollover capabilities from prior 401(k)s, a wide range of investment options and support throughout the process. With Alight IRA, employers and their people will benefit with an easy to rollover, integrated path to maintain and grow retirement savings.

Additionally, this release includes updates in response to the SECURE 2.0 Act, providing a clear summary of financial health status and personalized action plans that cover everything from budgeting to utilizing marketplace funds. As a result, Alight has incorporated added flexibility to Defined Benefit overpayment collection as well as a modernized design and integration of financial health products in one command center.

Finally, a new bereavement documentation process allows beneficiaries to upload death certificates and other necessary information directly through the platform, making an often-difficult process as smooth, efficient and compassionate as possible.

Streamlined health and absence management

The latest release of Alight Worklife further integrates Alight’s Leave Management and Benefits Administration solutions to enable a comprehensive approach to employee wellbeing. Additional features include:

  • New Life Event Verification solution: Simplifies verification processes and offers cost-saving opportunities.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities: Allows employees to navigate reimbursement accounts, including HSAs, FSAs and HRAs, in their preferred language, creating an inclusive experience for employees.
  • User provider search experience: Integrates health-related vendor information into Alight’s medical provider search solution, personalizing the experience based on each employee's search criteria such as specialty or procedure interest.
  • Leave claim to-dos: Employees can track tasks and claim progression in real time, leading to greater transparency, faster claim decisions and overall better digital engagement.
  • API integration between LeavePro and Workday: Facilitates accurate and timely leave claims decisions by allowing data updates within minutes, creating a seamless experience for employees and employers.
