Travelers Institute Announces Spring and Summer 2025 Wednesdays with Woodward® Webinar Schedule

Topics will include the current mergers and acquisitions environment, a behind-the-scenes tour of Travelers’ National Catastrophe Center and insights on recruiting future talent

The Travelers Institute, the public policy division of The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV), today announced its Wednesdays with Woodward spring and summer webinar schedule. The virtual series, hosted by Joan Woodward, President of the Travelers Institute and Executive Vice President of Public Policy at Travelers, features thought leaders from the public and private sectors discussing relevant issues at the intersection of insurance, business and public policy.

  • May 21: “Mindset for Success on the Course and in Your Career” Dr. Mo Pickens, sports psychologist and golf coach, will examine how a positive mindset, effective framing and consistent routines can enhance performance on the golf course and drive successful outcomes in the workplace.
  • June 4: “Live from the CAT Center: Where Expertise Meets Innovation” – Chris Day, Assistant Vice President of Catastrophe Operations at Travelers, will join Jessica Kearney, Vice President of Public Policy at Travelers, for a live behind-the-scenes look at Travelers’ National Catastrophe Center. During the tour, they will dive deep into what happens in the facility before, during and after a major weather event.
  • July 23: “Recruiting Your Rising Stars: Engaging the Insurance Industry’s Emerging Talent” – Denise Perlman, Chief Executive Officer of Middle Market, North America at Aon; Robert Hartwig, Ph.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Finance and Director of the Risk and Uncertainty Management Center at the University of South Carolina; and Michael Klein, Executive Vice President and President of Personal Insurance at Travelers, will discuss how the insurance sector can develop meaningful career paths and rewarding opportunities for future talent.
  • July 30: “Cargo Theft: Rising Frequency, Sophisticated Methods and Protecting Our Supply Chain” Keith Lewis, Vice President of Operations at Verisk CargoNet; Todd Wolfe, General Counsel at Arrive Logistics; and Scott Cornell, Vice President, National Practice Lead-Transportation, Inland Marine at Travelers, will discuss recent trends in cargo theft, including the surge of targeted thefts and its impact on the transportation industry and beyond.
