About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Dollar Tree Surpasses 9,000 Stores Across North America, Marking Major Growth Milestone

Retailer celebrates landmark achievement by paying it forward – planting 9,000 trees with the Arbor Day Foundation

Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ: DLTR) is proud to announce it has surpassed a major retail milestone with the opening of its 9,000th store, reinforcing the company’s position as one of the fastest-growing and most powerful value retailers in North America. With a footprint now spanning thousands of communities across the U.S. and Canada, this achievement reflects Dollar Tree’s steadfast focus on delivering value, convenience, and “thrill of the hunt” discovery in every aisle of every store. In celebration of this growth – and as a symbol of establishing roots in every community it serves – Dollar Tree is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 9,000 trees across North America.

From everyday essentials to unexpected delights, Dollar Tree is where shoppers come for unbeatable prices and leave with more than they expected. Whether it’s stocking up on trusted brands or uncovering the latest seasonal find, the experience is all about the “thrill of the hunt” – and with 9,000 stores and counting, that thrill is never far away.

“Reaching 9,000 stores is a powerful indicator of the strength of our brand and the loyalty of our associates and customers,” said Mike Creedon, Chief Executive Officer, Dollar Tree, Inc. “It’s also a testament to our profitable growth strategy, creating long-term value for our shareholders. And perhaps most importantly, every new Dollar Tree store helps us deliver on our promise to offer great value, convenience, and the ‘thrill of the hunt’ discovery for millions of families in North America.”

Dollar Tree is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 9,000 trees in support of strategic reforestation efforts across eastern Texas, including within Davy Crockett National Forest and Sam Houston National Forest. Dollar Tree is committed to investing in opportunities that positively impact the well-being, resilience, and livability of the communities it serves. Through this partnership, the Arbor Day Foundation is helping to maximize that impact by providing ecological benefits for future generations and restoring vulnerable ecosystems that help support the health of nearby communities.

Dollar Tree will commemorate this achievement locally with a grand opening celebration at the official 9,000th store in Plano, Texas. The 9,000th Dollar Tree store, located at 5920 W. Park Blvd features the latest store format designed to enhance the shopping experience, with an expanded product selection and updated layouts to make it easier than ever to explore all that Dollar Tree has to offer. Locally, the first 100 customers to arrive at the new Plano store on Thursday, May 15 (5920 W. Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093) will receive a $20 Dollar Tree gift card.
