Josh has more than 20 years of experience in every aspect of patent portfolio management, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, portfolio analysis, patent licensing, litigation support, and portfolio sales and acquisitions. He has represented clients in a wide variety of technical areas, including semiconductor device design, manufacture, and assembly, telecommunications, aerospace, and software. Josh also has experience serving as in-house patent counsel for several leading global technology companies, where he managed patent portfolios comprising thousands of patents and directed the filing of hundreds of U.S. and foreign patent applications every year. He has leveraged his in-house experience to help clients develop and implement intellectual property management programs for the early identification and strategic protection of high-value innovations.

Josh joins Dorsey from an AM LAW 50 firm, where he was a Partner and the Firmwide Vice-Chair of the Patent Prosecution & Portfolio Counseling Practice. Josh received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. in Physics from University of Dallas.
