Mellany Bagtas joins UBS as a Financial Advisor in New York City

UBS Wealth Management US today announced that Mellany Bagtas has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor in New York City. She will be based out of the firm’s 299 Park Avenue office and will report to Associate Market Executive Demie Kommatas.

Mellany joins UBS from Morgan Stanley where she most recently served as a First Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Prior to that, Mellany was a Vice President – Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch as well as a banker at JPMorgan Chase.

Mellany works with executives, founders, business owners, successful individuals, and their families to achieve and maintain financial independence, providing timely and unbiased advice to support informed decision-making. Her practice involves determining goals and outlining each individual’s financial situation to create customized strategies. She assists clients in building tailored plans, tracking progress, and adjusting when necessary. Mellany aims to help clients grow, preserve, and transfer their wealth across generations and to the causes most important to them.

Mellany graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Saint Mary College with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a concentration in Finance. Mellany served on the Board of Directors and was a Past President of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council and served on the boards of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Foundation and other non-profit organizations.
