About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

A future-ready collab from the Teva archives, say hello to the Teva x Sean Wotherspoon collection.

A future-ready collab from the Teva archives, say hello to the Teva x Sean Wotherspoon collection.

For this collaboration, Sean Wotherspoon dug deep into the Teva archive and found something special: the Wraptor. A bold, forgotten favorite silhouette from the early 2000s that felt instantly futuristic. Hidden in its design was the spark for something unexpected. This creative journey brought together vintage design, cosmic characters, and a shared discovery of the magic and wonder of Playground Earth.

Originally released in the early 2000s, the Wraptor Shoe and Wraptor Sandal return with a future-ready update. Built on Teva’s archival 360° Wraptor strapping system, both silhouettes feature trail-ready outsoles and upgraded materials designed for multi-terrain wear. Additional design details include premium straps with patterns pulled from the Teva archive and Sean Wotherspoon’s signature color palette, quick-release buckles, and nylon shanks for added stability. The collection also includes the Hurricane XLT2, a Teva staple reimagined through Sean’s lens with bold palettes, tactile finishes, and mismatched straps pulled directly from two early-2000s designs. Constructed with 100% REPREVE® recycled polyester straps and hardware inspired by retro outdoor gear, the collection strikes a balance between technical integrity and an expressive design ethos. Designed to move with you, each silhouette seamlessly blends all-day functionality with style, made to explore Playground Earth.

“We’re so excited to launch this collection with Sean Wotherspoon,” said Jess Bensley, Product Director of Teva. “This collaboration allowed us to dig deep into the archives to bring back the Wraptor with a fresh design perspective, one that stays true to its performance roots while embracing Sean’s bold, expressive approach. Together, we’ve created a collection that reflects our shared commitment to innovation, functionality, and inspiring people to get outside, explore, and play across our Playground Earth.”

“Working with Teva on this collection gave me the chance to explore design through movement,” said Sean Wotherspoon. “We pushed into the archive, experimented with materials and colors, and built something that feels nostalgic but ready for wherever you take it.”

The campaign, imagined by Wotherspoon, brings the spirit of the collaboration to life through an archival-inspired cast and retro-futurist storytelling. It also nods to Teva’s For Playground Earth brand anthem—a reminder that the outdoors is a space for magic, wonder, and play. At the center is a cosmic cast of characters, each one inspired by real design details from the Teva archive. Together, they journey across surreal terrains and unknown worlds, discovering the magic of Playground Earth. Vibrant and whimsical, the visuals bridge past and future, highlighting Teva’s commitment to outdoor-ready design that’s made to last beyond trend cycles. From the Wraptor’s cosmic revival to a colorful take on the Hurricane XLT2, the collection is designed to roam Earth, cities, and anywhere imagination leads.

The Teva x Sean Wotherspoon collection – Wraptor Shoe ($215 USD), Wraptor Sandal ($200 USD), and Hurricane XLT2 ($100 USD) - will be available for purchase globally beginning August 14, 2025, at teva.com and select global retailers. A limited-time pop-up experience in Japan will preview the collection from August 8th - 10th, with Sean Wotherspoon in attendance. The exclusive pop-up offers an early look ahead of the global launch. For more information, follow @TevaJapan on social media.
