About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

DLA, LLC Continues Significant Expansion of Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support Leadership, Appoints Carleen Gaskin as Partner

DLA LLC (DLA), a leading accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carleen Gaskin as Partner in its Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support practice.

With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Gaskin is recognized as a trusted adviser and expert witness in high-stakes matrimonial and commercial litigation. She is frequently court-appointed in matrimonial matters and has testified in the Supreme Courts of New Jersey, New York and Florida. Her expertise spans business valuations, forensic investigations, cash flow and lifestyle analyses, alimony scenario calculations, asset tracing, and marital balance sheets for equitable distribution.

Prior to joining DLA, Ms. Gaskin served for nearly 15 years as Market Leader of the Matrimonial Litigation Services Team at WithumSmith+Brown, where she built a nationally recognized practice and advised attorneys and clients navigating complex financial disputes. Earlier in her career, she held roles at Morrison & Company and RosenfarbWinters, LLC.

“Carleen is an exceptional leader and practitioner whose reputation in the field of forensic accounting and matrimonial litigation speaks for itself,” said David Landau, Founder and CEO of DLA. “Her appointment underscores DLA’s commitment to bringing together top talent to support clients with clarity, objectivity, and deep technical expertise in their most sensitive and complex disputes.”

“What drew me to DLA is the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit, client-first culture, and strong commitment to building solutions that stand up in the most challenging environments,” said Ms. Gaskin. “I look forward to working with the team to expand DLA’s forensic and valuation capabilities while continuing to serve as a trusted resource to clients, counsel, and the courts.”

DLA’s Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support practice delivers a comprehensive suite of services that span both matrimonial and commercial litigation matters. The team regularly provides expert testimony, fraud and forensic investigations, business valuations, and dispute advisory services across a wide range of industries. By combining technical rigor with practical insights, DLA helps clients and their counsel navigate complex disputes with precision, independence, and actionable strategies.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carleen to our partnership,” said Jason Addesso, Partner and Co-Head of the Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support practice. “Her experience and reputation in matrimonial and commercial disputes will further strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality, defensible analyses for our clients.”

“Carleen’s addition reflects our commitment to building a premier team of experts who can support clients in every aspect of forensic accounting and litigation,” added Kevin Baldwin, Partner and Co-Head of the Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support practice. “She brings outstanding credentials and a proven track record of providing clarity and confidence in even the most complex disputes.”

This appointment follows a year of significant growth for the Forensic Accounting, Valuation and Litigation Support practice. In 2025, DLA welcomed Deepti Verma as Partner, a seasoned forensic accounting leader with deep global expertise in fraud, compliance, and risk advisory, along with Partners Frank Lazzara and Randall Paulikens, both of whom bring decades of commercial forensic and valuation experience to the team. Most recently, DLA welcomed Tom Levato as Managing Director, bringing over 30 years of expertise in economic damages, fraud investigations, and dispute resolution. These strategic hires underscore DLA’s commitment to building one of the industry’s strongest forensic and valuation teams to serve clients across a wide range of industries and complex matters.
