(NYSE: CTRE) today announced the release of its fifth Annual Corporate Sustainability Report, detailing significant progress in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The report underscores CareTrust's unique model of promoting sustainability among its triple-net master lease tenants through strategic engagement, financial incentives, and robust reporting.

Key Highlights from the 2024 Report Include:

  • Climate & Resilience: CareTrust enhanced its centralized climate risk planning and provided tenants with property-specific risk reports and resiliency resources, supporting alignment with evolving climate disclosure requirements.
  • Green Leasing & Performance: The company expanded ESG requirements in its leases and consistently tracked tenant utility data, providing resources and intensity metrics to help tenants reduce consumption at resource-intensive properties.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: CareTrust hosted its fourth Operator Conference, bringing together 63% of its tenant-operators for three days of collaboration. The company also continued to monitor and engage tenants on local building performance and energy benchmarking regulations.
  • Employee Well-being: Highlighting its commitment to its team, CareTrust achieved 100% employee retention, hosted a company retreat, and earned an average score of 91 on the Strata Intel Employee Wellness Assessment, reflecting strong mental and emotional health.
  • Cybersecurity: The company maintained ongoing collaboration with a leading cybersecurity firm to ensure data integrity and safeguard sensitive information.
  • ESG Ratings: CareTrust preserved its ISS ESG Prime status and aligned its report with leading industry standards, reinforcing its strong corporate governance and performance.
