C. Buhler & Associates Ltd. Trustee Recognized With Outstanding Volunteer Award

WINNIPEG, MB:  C. Buhler & Associates Ltd. president, Crystal Buhler, FCPA, FCGA, CIRP, LIT, was recently honoured with the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) Outstanding Volunteer Award (OVA) for 2023-2024.  The award acknowledges individuals who have provided exemplary service to the Association and is presented once per year at its Annual General Meeting.  

Crystal Buhler received a Diploma in Business Administration from Assiniboine Community College in 2000 and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of Calgary in 2003 and Certified General Accountant (now Chartered Professional Accountant) designation in 2004.  In 2011, she became a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), after which she worked for both Keith G. Collins Ltd. and MNP before establishing her own firm, C. Buhler & Associates Ltd., in 2019.  

Today, C. Buhler & Associates Ltd. is a highly respected insolvency firm with five locations throughout Canada’s prairie provinces and northern Territories.  As a federally licensed provider of insolvency services, it specializes in bankruptcy, debt consolidation advice, consumer proposals, credit counselling, corporate restructuring, and more.  For Crystal Buhler, insolvency work is rooted in relationship building, and she is deeply committed to forging human connections by educating and empowering her clients in a non-judgmental environment.  

Crystal Buhler’s industry knowledge and dedication to her clients have positioned her as a leader among Canada’s insolvency professionals, and in October of 2024, she was recognized with CAIRP’s Outstanding Volunteer Award (OVA). The OVA was established by the Executive Committee of CAIRP, Canada’s preeminent association for the education, standards and advocacy of insolvency and restructuring professionals, and is presented annually to acknowledge the work of individuals who have provided exemplary service to the Association and to thank them for their contribution as a volunteer.
