About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Personal Injury Law Firm, Hankey Marks & Crider, Sponsors the 2025 WISH-TV Pasta Push to Fight Food Insecurity in Indianapolis

Indianapolis, IN - Hankey Marks & Crider, a local injury and disability law firm, demonstrated its ongoing commitment to community service by sponsoring WISH-TV’s 2025 Pasta Push. The firm contributed over 200 boxes of pasta to help combat food insecurity in Central Indiana. This year's Pasta Push took place from June 4 to June 18, 2025, with the goal of raising over 50,000 pounds of pasta and providing 1,000,000 meals to those in need.

The event, which was a collaboration between WISH-TV and Second Helpings, is part of the Sixth Annual Gr8 Pasta Push, a community-wide initiative aimed at combating hunger in Indiana. Since its inception in November 2020, the drive has been successful in collecting over 45,000 pounds of pasta, which has provided more than 84,000 meals to families across Central Indiana. This year’s goal was to surpass those achievements and continue providing vital assistance to the community.

Second Helpings, a key partner in the initiative, relies on pasta donations to support the Second Helpings Hunger Relief Kitchen, where meals are prepared for families in need. The pasta collected is a vital non-perishable item for the kitchen, with priority items including spaghetti and elbow macaroni noodles. The provided meals cater to families in central Indiana counties, including Bartholomew, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, and Marion.

Hankey Marks & Crider is a local injury and disability law firm with a dedicated team that treats each client the same way they treat their families. This guiding principle is one of the main reasons the law firm sponsored the Gr8 Pasta Push, as they believe that everyone deserves respect, compassion, and an improved quality of life.

As Social Security Disability Lawyers in Indianapolis, the law firm demystifies the red tape and confusing paperwork for clients facing disabilities. The team understands the complexities of filing for and following through with the Social Security Administration, to provide representation and advocacy with a client-centered approach. They handle cases involving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSD/SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and appeals.

Also, if an individual fought for their country and is now struggling with a VA disability claim, the skilled team can help them stabilize their finances by securing the benefits they deserve. The VA Disability Claims Lawyers in Indianapolis can determine the most suitable appeals track for a client’s specific situation and assist them in submitting and presenting additional evidence. They also take on cases to appeal low ratings for Total Disability Individual Unemployability (TDIU) and backpay disputes.

By sponsoring the Gr8 Pasta Push, Hankey Marks & Crider is showing local communities that its advocacy extends beyond the courtroom.
