About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Gen Z And Wealthy: How this 24-year-Old Makes $140K As A Mobile Notary – And Started The Successful Notary Brothers Bootcamp

By: Get News

Alex Itkis teaches the strategies people need to follow in order to build a lucrative career as a mobile notary.

Alex Itkis was a senior studying for the LSAT at the University of Oregon when he began to doubt his path. “I realized being a lawyer sounded like no fun,” he recalls, “I lost motivation.” His parents were shocked: as immigrants from the former USSR, they wanted their child to be a professional, and “they were really unhappy with my decision,” says Alex.

After graduating, Alex crashed on a friend’s couch in LA and took up a series of odd jobs, handling clerical tasks at a law firm and an ad agency, and making food deliveries with Postmates. “It paid the bills,” says Alex, “but clearly I needed to find a real career.”

Alex was determined to find a job that would allow him flexibility like Postmates while also providing a good income. And he did.

Alex was introduced to Mobile Notary by another friend. “I figured it only takes two months to get certified and I could make $70,000 a year, so what did I have to lose?” Alex tells Gen Z, “All you have to do is drive around and watch people sign documents.”

After getting certified and starting his own Mobile Notary business, there were a few months where he wasn’t earning much. “It was rough in the beginning,” Alex recalls, “so I started focusing on optimizing pricing and marketing.” He took inspiration from other service-based industries and how they structured online listings and ads.

Before long, Alex’s efforts started paying off, and he was soon top of the results in LA, driving to 7-8 jobs a day and making $12,000 a month, far more than a typical Mobile Notary. The $140,000 a year figure is just for being a solo notary, he shares, but he makes “quite a bit more” by having several Mobile Notaries working underneath him.

So what’s Alex’s plan now? “I want to teach others. Mobile Notary isn’t difficult at all compared to other hustles like e-commerce or sales.” He believes he can teach anyone to be successful, and so he co-founded the Notary Brothers Bootcamp.

“If I can teach someone to make $140,000 a year doing a job as easy as my Postmates job, I’m sure people would be willing to pay a few hundred for that knowledge!”

People interested in enrolling in Alex’s course and becoming mobile notaries can reach out to him using the information mentioned below.
