About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) Co-Founders to Answer the Call to Protect the Doctor-Patient Relationship in Ohio

FLCCC co-founders, Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory, will be featured participants in an event hosted by the Children’s Health Defense (CHD) Ohio Chapter titled “COVID-19 Alternative Therapies and the Right to Choose Conference: Protecting the Vulnerable and Honoring the Fourth Estate,” that is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium. The event will also feature a keynote address from CHD Chairman, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.   The event will include a series of expert panel discussions on several bills intended to protect the doctor-patient relationship now being considered by the Ohio State Legislature.

“The relationship between a doctor and their patient must be protected from interference from commercial and political interests and the bills now being considered in the Ohio legislature are needed assets in protecting not only our rights as doctors, but the rights of patients,” said Pierre Kory, M.D., M.P.A., president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC. “The pandemic exposed many vulnerabilities of our medical and public health systems and let too many competing interests influence how medicine is practiced today. Our hope is that states like Ohio will take the steps needed to fix these vulnerabilities and protect our medical and public health systems.”

“Through intimidation, threats and blatant censorship, doctors continue to be prohibited from using treatments they know will help their patients and instead are left watching them suffer as high-profit medications are administered with little to no positive results,” said Paul Marik, M.D., co-founder of the FLCCC. “It is imperative that these efforts to protect doctors and patients succeed in Ohio. We have seen progress in both red and blue states, and we hope this effort in Ohio will be an example for other states to follow.

About the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance

The FLCCC Alliance was organized in March 2020 by a group of highly published, world renowned critical care physicians and scholars with the academic support of allied physicians from around the world. FLCCC’s goal is to research and develop lifesaving protocols for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in all stages of illness. Their MATH+ Hospital Treatment Protocol, introduced in March 2020, has saved thousands of patients who were critically ill with COVID-19. The FLCCC’s I-MASK+ Prophylaxis and Early At-Home Outpatient Treatment Protocol is a potential solution to the global pandemic.
