About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

From Childhood Best Friends to an E-Commerce Powerhouse: The AMZ Advisers Story

By: Get News

Most companies begin with a business plan. AMZ Advisers began with friendship.

What started as two pairs of childhood best friends eventually grew into a global e-commerce powerhouse — one that has partnered with over 700 brands and driven close to $900 million in revenue across Amazon, Walmart, Mercado Libre, and beyond.

Two Friendships, One High School Bond

Steve Cicalese and Nick Signoriello grew up as childhood best friends. So did Rob Zawadski and Mike Begg. By chance, all four ended up at the same high school, where their friendship circles collided.

They spent every day together playing sports, playing FIFA, going on trips, and of course making the best late-night parties possible on beaches in Stratford, CT. They dreamed and spoke frequently about one day building businesses together.

“This wasn’t just about starting a business — it was about taking the dream we had since high school and making it real,” says co-founder Mike Begg.

Taking the Leap

Years later, after college and corporate careers, the four decided to finally chase that dream. What began with Kindle books and retail arbitrage quickly grew into full-scale Amazon selling. When their side hustles outpaced their day jobs, they quit and went all in.

By 2015, they officially launched AMZ Advisers — not just as an agency, but as a growth partner for brands ready to scale on Amazon.

Growing Beyond an Agency

Over the past decade, AMZ Advisers has grown from a scrappy four-friend venture into a 90-person global organization. The company’s success has been fueled not just by consulting, but also by strategic acquisitions and spin-offs that broadened its ecosystem.

They did this all while living abroad together in places like Thailand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Spain, Italy, Albania, and Portugal.

Today, these guys run a portfolio of companies — including AMZ Global, Magnifyde, AMZ Refund Me, Go Avance, and recently acquired Reach Social — giving brands everything they need to grow in the U.S. and internationally.

A cornerstone of that ecosystem is AMZ Global, led by Nick Signoriello. Nick has driven the company’s global expansion initiatives, helping U.S. brands thrive in markets like the UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and Japan.

“Our success didn’t come from a playbook — it came from relentless testing and problem solving, trust in each other, and building companies side by side,” says co-founder Rob Zawadski.

What Makes Them Different

In an industry crowded with agencies and one-off consultants, AMZ Advisers stands out for one simple reason: its foundation is friendship.

The loyalty forged between childhood best friends became the culture that fuels the company today. Every client engagement reflects that same mindset — long-term partnership, shared success, and a relentless drive to grow together.

“We’ve built these businesses side by side, and our clients know they’re partnering with a team that treats their growth like our own,” says co-founder Steve Cicalese.

The Road Ahead

Looking forward, AMZ Advisers is doubling down on acquisitions, expanding into new channels like Walmart, Meta, and other DTC platforms, and continuing to invest in international growth through Go Avance and AMZ Global.

The north star remains the same as when it began in childhood: build together, win together, and help brands reach their potential.
