About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

270MW Agricultural Photovoltaic Power Station Project Used Risen Energy’s HJT Modules Achieves Grid Connection

By: Get News

Recently, the 270MW Songtao Changxing Agricultural Photovoltaic Power Station Project successfully achieved full grid connection, which used Risen Energy's HJT Hyper-ion PV modules. This project is not only the largest application of heterojunction modules in the region, but also integrates “agriculture plus photovoltaics” to achieve dual land use, promoting synergistic development between rural revitalization and clean energy.

Located on the Yunnan-Guizhou plateau, Songtao County in Guizhou Province features steep terrain and prominent geological challenges, which have constrained the large-scale development of traditional agriculture. Against this backdrop, the integration of photovoltaics and agriculture has emerged as a key solution to address the inefficiency of land use.

Risen Energy 's heterojunction Hyper-ion PV modules, with the higher power output, lower power degradation, and stable power temperature coefficient and higher bifacial factor, have significantly improved power generation performance per unit area. This not only saves land costs for customers, but also ensures an annual power generation capacity of 234 million kWh—equivalent to saving of 70,000 tons standard coal and reducing CO₂emissions by 190,000 tons annually, injecting strong momentum into the region's green transformation.

As a leader in HJT technology among the world's TOP10 photovoltaic companies, Risen Energy has been deeply committed to HJT innovation since 2018, accumulating leading expertise in both technology development and mass production. On October 15, 2024, HJT module Hyper-ion was upgraded to Hyper-ion Pro, which delivers over 740Wp in mass production now. Hyper-ion Pro integrates cutting-edge technologies such as UV down-coversion encapsulation film, high-mobility target material, and stencil screen printing, achieving a power range of 720-745Wp, a conversion efficiency of 23.2%-24%, and a bifacial factor of 90%. These advancements fully demonstrate our technological prowess and innovation in the HJT field.

With an ultra-low temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C and high bifaciality, Hyper-ion Pro delivers over 3% more power generation compared to PERC and TOPCon modules in ground-mounted power plants. Currently, Hyper-ion Pro has entered mass production and delivered in lots of power projects.

During the project implementation, Risen Energy's teams actively collaborated, employing innovative technologies and intelligent quality control measures to ensure high-quality module delivery. These efforts provided a solid foundation for the project's smooth commissioning, earning unanimous praise from the clients.

Now, Risen Energy's "Full-Stack Renewable Energy Solutions" has established a three-dimensional application ecosystem, spanning GW-scale power plants, commercial and industrial parks, and residential rooftops, further contributing Risen Energy's strength to the global clean energy transition.
