Della Weaver’s life story defies the odds. Born into hardship, she spent her early years moving from one temporary living arrangement to another. “Until I was eight or nine, my family lived with friends,” she recalls. “When we finally moved into Section 8 housing, it felt like stability.” But stability didn’t last long—by 18, her parents considered her fully on her own.
