About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

AINX Raises $2M Seed Round to Democratize AI Compute Through Decentralized Edge Networks

AINX, a decentralized AI computing network built on the Helioq Protocol, has successfully raised $2 million in seed funding. The round was led by AlphaGamma, with participation from multiple prominent angel investors across the Web3 and AI landscapes.

Founded in 2023, AINX is taking aim at a future where AI is no longer centralized. With its flagship edge device - Helioq NodeX - AINX empowers everyday users to contribute compute power, train models, and run intelligent tasks from anywhere. All while earning tokenized rewards in a system that’s fair, transparent, and privacy-respecting.

“We believe that AI should not be monopolized by centralized platforms — it should be user-owned and collaboratively operated, just like Bitcoin,” said David Chen, Co-Founder of Helioq Labs. “AINX is our first step toward this ‘OwnAI’ vision, and with the Helioq NodeX device, we’re returning the power of intelligent computing back to the people.”

Helioq NodeX is already in production and serves as the foundational infrastructure for the AINX network. These compact, GPU-accelerated devices enable verifiable compute, support federated learning, and prioritize data privacy—positioning them as a core pillar in the decentralized AI movement.

The newly secured funding will be deployed toward:

- Scaling global distribution of Helioq NodeX

- Accelerating ecosystem development, including incentive mechanisms and developer tools

- Expanding international partnerships across DePIN projects, content platforms, and L1/L2 networks

“AINX represents a compelling paradigm shift,” said AlphaGamma Ventures in a joint statement. “It not only brings AI into the Web3 domain, but also redefines the relationship between computing power and incentives. We are deeply impressed by the team’s ability to push technological boundaries and their long-term commitment to decentralized intelligence.”

AINX’s upcoming roadmap includes the launch of NodeX 100, the rollout of a multi-chain compute rental market, and the release of customizable AI agents and multimodal content generation tools. Over time, the team also plans to enable cross-chain compatibility, release SDKs for integration, and build a decentralized AI model marketplace.

AINX is developed by Helioq Labs, an R&D-driven protocol team dedicated to building censorship-resistant, user-sovereign infrastructure for Web3.

About AINX

AINX is a decentralized AI compute network powered by the Helioq Protocol. By combining edge computing, federated learning, and tokenized incentives, AINX enables anyone to train models, deploy AI agents, and monetize compute power—without relying on centralized platforms. Founded in 2023, AINX is on a mission to create a participatory, user-owned AI ecosystem for the world.
