About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

BitX and Kyrgyzstan Mining Farm Sign Strategic MoU to Launch High-Efficiency Web3.0 Bitcoin Mining in Central Asia

Singapore — May 2025 — BitX, a leader in AI-powered Bitcoin mining acceleration, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kyrgyzstan Mining Farm, initiating a key partnership to deploy next-generation mining optimization technologies in Central Asia. This agreement signifies BitX’s continuing mission to build a decentralized, inclusive, and high-efficiency Web3.0 mining ecosystem across emerging regions.

Under the MoU, BitX will deploy its flagship Bit-X V2 Accelerator, an AI-driven hash optimization engine that improves SHA-256 performance, reduces energy waste, and enhances output by up to 100%—all without requiring new hardware investment. Kyrgyzstan’s high-altitude environment and access to hydro energy make it an ideal testing ground for sustainable Web3-based mining models.

"We’re entering a new era of mining—where infrastructure intelligence matters more than raw hardware," said Brian Ashe, CEO of BitX. "Our partnership with Kyrgyzstan Mining Farm demonstrates how strategic technology can transform underutilized regions into Web3.0 mining powerhouses."

The deployment will focus on optimizing 25,000+ mining units at Kyrgyzstan’s facility, significantly enhancing performance and energy efficiency. As part of BitX’s global Web3.0 Mining Ecosystem, the project will also enable cross-border mining participation through the Shared Accelerator Program—where users worldwide can co-own accelerator contracts for as little as $100, earning a share of real-time Bitcoin output.

Kyrgyzstan Mining Farm’s spokesperson commented:

"Partnering with BitX enables us to leap ahead of legacy mining models. The V2 Accelerator’s algorithmic efficiency and modular design align perfectly with our goals to maximize returns while remaining sustainable and regulation-ready."

Beyond efficiency, the project reflects the next stage of decentralized digital infrastructure, where smart mining nodes can exist anywhere there is power and connectivity. BitX’s approach emphasizes transparency, community access, and algorithmic fairness—foundational pillars of Web3.0 adoption.

With successful MOU deployments already completed in Kazakhstan, Alberta, and Ethiopia, BitX is rapidly creating a distributed hash economy, enabling investors, miners, and institutions to participate in the evolution of Bitcoin mining regardless of geography or hardware limitations.

"Web3.0 is not just about decentralized finance," added Ashe. "It’s about rebuilding infrastructure so anyone, anywhere, can own a piece of the future. Through partnerships like this, we’re turning that vision into reality."

This initiative solidifies Central Asia as a rising region in global mining and positions BitX as a core enabler of performance-based, intelligent mining for the Web3.0 era.
