About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

IoTeX and U Power (NASDAQ: UCAR) Partner to Expand DePIN Infrastructure and Tokenize Real-World Assets

Silicon Valley & New York — July 23, 2025 — IoTeX, the open ecosystem for physical intelligence and a pioneer in Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), today announced a strategic partnership with U Power Limited (NASDAQ: UCAR), a leading electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure provider. The collaboration will enable full on-chain tokenization and lifecycle management of UCAR’s EV charging and battery swap stations, marking a major milestone in scaling real-world asset (RWA) adoption through DePIN.

The partnership highlights IoTeX’s growing role as foundational infrastructure for tokenized machine networks and real-world intelligence. By integrating UCAR’s national infrastructure footprint into the IoTeX ecosystem, the collaboration unlocks new forms of liquidity, asset transparency, and programmable capital flows, positioning DePIN and RWA as twin engines of the next wave of crypto adoption.

From EV Networks to On-Chain Economies

As regulatory clarity around stablecoins and RWAs expands, infrastructure-backed tokens are emerging as one of the most tangible and capital-efficient applications of blockchain. IoTeX provides the stack to power this shift, from on-chain machine registration and decentralized identity to Quicksilver, its real-time AI framework for verified physical data.

This partnership with UCAR demonstrates how enterprises can transform physical infrastructure into liquid, programmable digital assets on a fully open network.

“Our collaboration with UCAR highlights the growing role DePIN will play in transforming real-world infrastructure into on-chain economies,” said Dr. Raullen Chai, Co-Founder and CEO of IoTeX. “We’re excited to help bring UCAR’s EV charging and energy assets onto the IoTeX network and show how blockchain and capital markets can work together to build smarter, more efficient infrastructure ecosystems.”

Strategic Integration and Long-Term Vision

As a next step, UCAR and IoTeX are actively exploring broader strategic cooperation, including incorporating $IOTX into UCAR’s long-term asset reserve system in a strategy similar to Sharplink and Ethereum, as well as co-developing tokenization strategies across EV charging, battery swap, and mobility infrastructure.

“Partnering with IoTeX will help us digitize and tokenize our infrastructure assets at scale—improving operational efficiency, capital access, and transparency,” said Vicente López-Ibor Mayor, Board member of UCAR and former Commissioner of the National Energy Commission. “It’s a critical move toward increasing the value and flexibility of UCAR’s new energy infrastructure.”

This partnership represents a powerful convergence of blockchain innovation and industrial-scale deployment. By aligning DePIN-native protocols with real-world business applications, IoTeX is demonstrating how open infrastructure can power the next generation of decentralized economies—where machines, data, and capital coordinate in real time.

The collaboration is supported by HabitTrade, a global multi-asset trading and infrastructure platform, which serves as the structuring and execution agent for this token-equity integration.
