NICE plays a pivotal role in providing guidance to enhance health and social care in the United Kingdom. For a procedure to secure such a recommendation, it must demonstrate both short-term and long-term safety and efficacy. Aquablation therapy is the first and only image-guided, robotically assisted, heat-free water jet for the treatment of BPH. The system’s real-time ultrasound imaging provides the surgeon with a multi-dimensional view of the prostate enabling personalized treatment planning tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy.
