Water Tower Research (WTR) Adds Jesse Redmond as Managing Director of Cannabis Sector

February 21, 2023, St. Petersburg, FL – Water Tower Research LLC (www.watertowerresearch.com), a leading, digitally focused investor engagement and stakeholder communication firm, is pleased to announce that Jesse Redmond has joined the firm as Managing Director of the Cannabis Sector.

Water Tower Research was founded to provide “Research for the Other 99%”, with a mission to improve the communication channels between companies and their stakeholders that have been impaired by dramatic structural changes to the conventional equity research and investor engagement models.

Water Tower Research is excited to begin coverage in a historically under-covered market looking to help small- and medium-cap cannabis companies educate the market on their strategy. As cannabis remains illegal on the federal level, investors find it difficult to capitalize on the growth of the industry.

Jesse is the former co-founder of two hedge funds and a rising retail California cannabis collective. He began his career at Franklin Templeton, was an early employee of Fisher Investments, and spent a decade co-managing multiple hedge funds. In this role, he allocated more than $1 billion to hedge fund strategies and conducted more than 1,000 due diligence visits around the world.

In 2016, he founded a dispensary outside of Santa Barbara, California, that went on to become number one in its region. In 2020, he founded Higher Calling Consulting, where he helped investors find the best cannabis investments. Through these experiences, Jesse brings a unique perspective on investing in cannabis.

Jesse holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
