About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

BRYCER, the leader in fire compliance software, proudly announces the appointment of Paige Robson as its new Head of Marketing. Robson brings a unique blend of in-house and agency experience, having worked on national digital marketing initiatives at Best Buy and Amazon, and led multi-channel campaigns for B2B clients across compliance-driven industries. She joins BRYCER to lead the company’s marketing strategy and help more cities close the gap on overdue inspections and deficient systems.

BRYCER is transforming how cities enforce fire and life safety compliance.
BRYCER

Robson brings with her experience from Amazon and Best Buy, where she built foundational expertise in performance marketing and digital operations. She later led growth and content strategy at a boutique agency, managing multi-channel campaigns for businesses in regulated industries. Her focus on scalable, outcomes-driven marketing aligns directly with BRYCER’s mission to help cities do more with less—and take action on overdue, incomplete, or deficient safety systems.

“Public safety has always been deeply personal to me,” said Robson. “My father served as a Marine, police officer, attorney, and now judge. My mother is a NICU nurse who cares for the most vulnerable every day. I have a deep respect for those who dedicate their lives to protecting and supporting others — and I want cities to have the tools to do the same. BRYCER is helping cities modernize and strengthen their approach to fire protection system compliance through better data, better tools, and better outcomes.”

As Head of Marketing, Robson will oversee brand strategy, digital presence, content development, demand generation, and sales enablement. She will focus on scaling awareness of BRYCER’s flagship product, The Compliance Engine (TCE) — a cloud-based platform used by hundreds of cities to manage and enforce life safety inspections with greater consistency and fewer internal resources.

BRYCER partners with municipalities to streamline the end-to-end process of managing inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) reports. Through The Compliance Engine, cities can track incoming reports, automate overdue and deficiency notifications, and ensure only validated reports are forwarded for enforcement. BRYCER supports a range of compliance areas including fire protection systems, backflow prevention, and elevator safety. In addition to the platform, BRYCER offers 24/7 support, contractor education, and outbound communication assistance to help increase testing activity and drive compliance—without increasing staffing levels.

A former collegiate water polo team captain, Robson is known for her drive, discipline, and collaborative mindset. Since stepping into the role, Robson has been focused on aligning BRYCER’s messaging with the real-world challenges cities face and building stronger engagement across its growing network of partners.
