Boatman Ricci Welcomes Two New Law Clerks to the Firm

Naples, FloridaBoatman Ricci is pleased to announce the addition of two talented law clerks, Zachary Pearlman and Avery Searcy, to the firm. Their strong academic backgrounds and dedication to the legal profession will be a valuable asset as they support the firm’s litigation practice.

Zachary Pearlman is a third-year student at Ave Maria School of Law, where he was awarded the Rewarding Excellence Full Tuition Scholarship. He serves as Managing Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and has received the Spring 2024 CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy. 

A native of Rockland County, New York, Zachary earned his bachelor’s degree in American Studies with a concentration in the Colonial Era from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Before law school, he gained judicial experience as an intern in the Chambers of Hon. Sandra Sciortino of the New York Supreme Court, Orange County. At Ave Maria, he also serves as President of the Saint Thomas More Society and Vice President of the Legion of Mary.

Avery Searcy joins Boatman Ricci as a third-year student at Stetson University College of Law. She has been actively involved in the Christian Legal Society, Anti-Trafficking Coalition, and Law Review. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida. 

Avery has gained valuable legal experience through a judicial internship with Judge LaRose at the Second District Court of Appeal and as a research and teaching assistant for Professor Peter Lake, contributing to the development of a hybrid torts course. Her academic achievements include receiving book awards in Evidence, Consumer Law, Trusts and Estates, and Advanced Legal Research.
