About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Confessions of a Female Rabbi by Rebecca Keren Jablonski Explores the Intersection of Tradition and Modernity

Rebecca Keren Jablonski's debut memoir, "Confessions of a Female Rabbi," explores innovative approaches to keeping religious practices relevant in today's world.

A Transformative Memoir: Confessions of a Female Rabbi

Rebecca Keren Jablonski, a renowned female rabbi based in New York City, is set to release her debut book, Confessions of a Female Rabbi, on August 2024 with Viva Editions/Simon and Schuster. In this compelling memoir, Jablonski provides a unique perspective on the evolving landscape of religious practice, offering insights into how she connects families with their faith in an increasingly secular world.

Innovative Religious Engagement

Jablonski's approach to religious education and facilitation is both bespoke and inclusive, catering to the unique needs of each family she works with. Her memoir is filled with case studies demonstrating her success in delivering transformative religious experiences. These case studies range from working with children who have learning challenges to supporting interfaith couples, divorced families, atheists, and secular Jews globally.

Jablonski's innovative methods have earned her the admiration of many, including NFL legend and TV personality Michael Strahan, who dubbed her "THE coach" for all religious training and Jewish lifecycle moments for children and families.

A Modern Approach to Faith

In Confessions of a Female Rabbi, Jablonski addresses the significant decline in church and synagogue attendance, proposing that religion must adapt to stay relevant. Her narrative traces the shifts within the multi-faith landscape and the Jewish American community, showcasing how she has successfully bridged the gap between ancient traditions and modern-day practices.

Jablonski's memoir offers a blend of personal stories and professional insights, revealing her as a reflective and relatable spiritual facilitator. Her book touches on universal themes such as birth, coming of age, weddings, divorce, conversion, and sacred times, illustrating the deeper meaning that can be found in religious observance when approached with creativity and flexibility.

Keeping Faith Accessible

Jablonski's work underscores the importance of making religious practices accessible and meaningful. Her personalized approach has allowed many families, who might otherwise forgo any religious connection, to find spirituality and tradition in their lives. By meeting families where they are, both geographically and spiritually, Jablonski has ensured that faith remains a vital part of their lives.

Her memoir is not only a testament to her dedication but also a guide for others looking to engage with their faith in a modern context. Confessions of a Female Rabbi is a must-read for anyone interested in the intersection of tradition and modernity, providing valuable lessons on how to keep religion alive and relevant in today's world.
