A study involving 33 participants found that music played at 432Hz produced greater reductions in heart and respiratory rates than 440Hz, suggesting potential wellness implications. Some instruments, such as bagpipes, continue to operate on standards ranging from 466Hz to 480Hz.

Today, digital tuners with adjustable calibration settings represent the fastest-growing market segment. These devices enable musicians to select alternative tunings according to genre, instrument, or personal preference. Market forecasts estimate that such tuners will comprise nearly 60% of sales by 2026.
