About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Aaria & Band Wildlife Harness Childhood Magic in “Ponies in Denver”

Honesty, heart, and a love of nature come together in a song about holding on to what matters.

-- (Los Angeles, CA) September 20, 2025 - After the successful releases in 2023, Aaria & Band Wildlife is back with an original song that hits differently. "Ponies in Denver," the first single from their upcoming debut album "Feel the Light,” tackles childhood innocence, growing up, and holding onto the things that matter most when life gets complicated.

The song looks back at childhood with a kind of bittersweet nostalgia that's surprisingly mature for an 11-year-old singer-songwriter. Released September 12, 2025, this three-minute track shows exactly why Aaria Chakrabarti has been turning heads since she started writing songs at age 5. She's always written music as a way to work through her thoughts and feelings, and "Ponies in Denver" continues that tradition with remarkable honesty.

“Ponies in Denver” doesn't simplify complex emotions or talk down to listeners. It acknowledges that growing up means facing difficult choices and disappointments, but argues for holding onto the dreams and innocence that make us who we are. The story unfolds through Aaria’s piano work and vocals, supported by subtle instrumental layers that highlight her artistry while keeping the sound genuine and accessible.

Recorded at Planet Studios in Montreal, the production keeps things authentic and unpolished in the best way. This approach has become a Band Wildlife trademark since they started headlining shows in 2021, when Aaria was just 7. The supporting musicians know how to support her vision without taking over, building a reputation for shows that feel genuine rather than like a novelty act.

The music video adds a rich visual dimension, showcasing Aaria performing the song while guiding viewers through a nature-inspired journey that reflects the band’s environmental focus. The name Band Wildlife stems from Aaria’s deep connection to themes of nature and sustainability, which have shaped her artistic vision from the very beginning. It’s this commitment to meaningful subjects, combined with her wide-ranging performance experience, that sets her apart from artists who choose to stay within safer territory.

"Ponies in Denver" draws from the rock, pop, classical, world, and jazz influences that will define the full Feel the Light album. Her composition skills continue developing in ways that surprise people who assume young artists can't tackle serious subjects. The upcoming album will span multiple languages and explore themes of global unity, but this single works perfectly as both a standalone piece and a preview of what's coming.

With the full debut album on the horizon, Aaria & Band Wildlife are steadily building momentum. The track is a reminder to reconnect with the simple, joyful moments that shaped who we are before life’s complexities set in—a theme that resonates across generations.

When the world feels uncertain, what are the “ponies in Denver” you return to? "Ponies in Denver" is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other major platforms.
