About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Private Browser For Conservatives Who Value Free Speech Launches LLM AI Tools

TUSK, a popular web browser designed specifically for conservatives who value free speech, has launched a new in-built AI tool called GIPPR.

-- TUSK is pleased to be expanding their secure web browser, adding to its functionality with a new AI chatbot that operates similarly to the major large language models (LLMs) with one exception: it has been trained on conservative and right-leaning sources and information.

More information is available at https://tuskbrowser.com/gippr/

The team of American patriots behind TUSK first launched their online platform last year in order to address the liberal bias they saw influencing the internet landscape in the country. They created TUSK to be an integrated web browser and search engine that allowed conservative users to experience a censorship-free and pro-free speech environment online.

Now, working within the same ethos, they have launched their new LLM, called GIPPR. Their team believes that the internet, including emerging AI tools, is increasingly prejudiced against traditional and conservative viewpoints and that it is fundamentally undermining the tenets of free speech.

As a recent article by the Society for Computers & Law argued, most LLMs are left-leaning when tested on their political ideology. The data suggested that, despite the fact that these LLMs will state they are politically neutral if prompted, they tend to align with views that support both globally held liberal policies and schools of thoughts, as well as those held specifically by the Democratic Party in the United States.

Citing another recent study, the Society for Computers & Law also posited that mainstream LLMs display an even more noticeable left-wing bias when asked questions about more polarizing topics, like immigration.

As such, the American patriots behind TUSK have adapted the technology that allows these LLMs to work and trained it on a different data set, one which doesn’t actively exclude right-wing and conservative beliefs and ideas.

“GIPPR AI is the truthful chatbot,” summarized their spokesperson. “As our revolutionary chatbot provides traditional American answers to your questions, with GIPPR AI, you can engage in conversations that align with the values and beliefs of the United States.”

They encourage any conservative American who suspects or feels that their views may be being eroded or marginalized by the dominant AI chatbots and search engines to try TUSK.

In addition to offering a fully pro-free speech online experience, their combined browser, search and chatbot has also been built to uphold the highest privacy, security and anti-tracking standards.
