MoonPay Enters Strategic Collaboration with TRON

As the first phase of the collaboration, users in the U.S. can now purchase TRX directly through the MoonPay platform

Geneva, Switzerland, May 7, 2025 – TRON DAO, the community-governed DAO dedicated to accelerating the decentralization of the internet through blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps), has announced a strategic collaboration with MoonPay, the global leader in crypto payments. The first phase of the collaboration enables users across the United States to purchase TRX, the native utility token of the TRON network, directly through the MoonPay platform.

The addition of TRX for MoonPay’s U.S. users creates accessibility to TRON’s dynamic ecosystem of decentralized finance where an average of 8.3 million transactions are completed each day across the TRON blockchain. TRX is listed on over 130 exchanges and ranks among the top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization – exceeding $23 billion as of April 2025.

Alongside TRX, the ecosystem supports a variety of tokens, including the second-largest circulating supply of USDT, the USD-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether. TRON also recently announced that the total circulating supply of USDT on the TRON blockchain has exceeded $70 billion. Particularly in emerging markets and cross-border transactions, TRON has become a foundational layer for real-world blockchain applications.
