About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

"With Bitmain and other mining manufacturers shutting down their mining machine production in China, there is going to be a squeeze on miners trying to purchase new mining equipment," says Bruce Li, President of Cloud Rush Incorporated. "Cloud Rush uses Supermicro servers, which are made in the United States, and ASUS servers, which are made in Taiwan. We foresee no supply issues regarding our mining equipment, and we expect to be able to fulfill all of our customer's mining orders."

"We expected issues regarding China mining machine production, and we are fully prepared for it," says Millie Mi, Vice President of Operations at Cloud Rush. "We decided early on to use U.S. and Taiwan sourced equipment, because it met our specifications and because it was sourced from suppliers we knew we could count on."

"Cloud Rush has been very pleased with the results from our Supermicro and ASUS equipment," says Ms. Mi. "The machines are very fast and very reliable. We don't see any problems with the mining machines we are currently using in the long term. We are confident that our mining machines will provide world-class service that will meet the needs of our mining customers."

Cloud Rush has created a unique mining ecosystem where people who are interested in buying mining equipment can be part of Cloud Rush's mining platform. Cloud Rush has partnered with Cyxtera, the second-largest datacenter in the United States, knowing that Cyxtera is fully capable of providing the most reliable and secure mining infrastructure in the United States.

Cloud Rush purposefully choose to locate their mining equipment in the U.S. because power is readily available, and the U.S. government will not stand in the way of digital currency business ventures.

"Cloud Rush could have been headquartered anywhere in the world," says Mr. Li, "but, we wanted our headquarters in the U.S. because we believe that America has the greatest potential for explosive digital currency growth."

"Many people in America have heard of digital currency, but most don't realize how easy it is to become a miner and create new Filecoin tokens," Mr. Li continues. "Cloud Rush does all the "heavy-lifting" necessary to get our clients into the digital currency marketplace. We purchase the equipment, set it up and run it in a secure 24/7 datacenter, we maintain and monitor the machines so our customers don't have to worry about it, and we provide a Phone App so our clients can monitor their mining equipment anytime and have access to the tokens they have created."

"The reception to our business model has exceeded our expectations," says Ms. Mi. "We have found so many people who are excited to be part of our mining platform, that we are already talking with Cyxtera about hosting our equipment in datacenters in other states that can handle the amount of new business we are experiencing."

Launched in May 2021, Cloud Rush has procured a significant start-up investment from Singapore's CR Capital Foundation as well as other investors. Cloud Rush is headquartered in Southern California, has a technical department in Shanghai, and operation centers in Singapore and Hong Kong, Cloud Rush is poised for significant growth in the growing cryptocurrency market.
