(Matthew Du, NewsUSA Reporter) - Multiple raids have been conducted against activists who oppose the “Cop City” police and fire training center in Atlanta, a movement that has been intensified since the death of activist Manuel Paez Terán at the hands of Georgia City cops. The home-raids are joint forces that combine federal entities and law enforcement agencies, such as the local police, ATF, and FBI,

Over 60 individuals have been charged with conspiracy, arson, vandalism, and racketeering. Critics denounce the raids as federal overreach, instead branding them as an attack on dissent. Officials of the city continue to receive criticism from various advocacy groups, and despite this, they move forward with plans for the expansive training center.
