About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Residential Real Estate Council Attracts Hundreds of Real Estate Agents to Annual Conference to Celebrate 35 Years of Inspiration

RRC's Sell-a-bration Conference Guarantees to Inspire

The real estate industry's leading education and networking provider, the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), hosted nearly 800 real estate agents at their annual conference, Sell-a-bration®, in Atlanta, GA, Feb. 8-10, 2023 - the organization's 35th Sell-a-bration to date.

Sell-a-bration brought real estate agents from 50 states and seven countries together, all with the same goals of building connections and becoming better agents. Attendees were able to rub shoulders with top-producing agents in the industry, many of whom hold the CRS Designation - the esteemed designation that RRC is known for. From inspiring keynotes to over 30 breakout education sessions, no one left uninspired without new strategies and skills to take back home.

"It was great to see so many members and other real estate agents in person taking advantage of the networking and education that the Council has to offer," says Jeff Hornberger, CEO of RRC. "Being a part of Sell-a-bration can open up a whole new world for attendees, and the conference not only inspires them to achieve more success - but gives them a roadmap on how to do it."

President of RRC, Pam Ruggeroli adds, "Sell-a-bration has been changing people's lives for 35 years. We hope to show people that by attending Sell-a-bration, their lives really could change for the better. It was inspiring to see so many members, speakers, and exhibitors there to help us spread that message!"

Though Sell-a-bration 2023 has come to an end, the Council is gearing up for Inmociónate, referred to as the "International Sell-a-bration," in Granada, Spain this summer. The global conference will be June 29-30, 2023, and is hosted by RRC's partner in Spain, Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios. The global event attracts many agents in the states who want to build their global network. Registration and more information can be found at crs.com/events/Inmocionate.

Sell-a-bration heads back to Las Vegas, NV, next year, Feb. 29-March 2, 2024, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. Attendees can expect the same great conference, and RRC expects registration numbers to surpass 1,000 and be 'the best conference yet!' Registration will be available in the spring at crs.com/sab.
