About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

The Tech Academy's Corporate Training for the Mexican Department of Defense

The Tech Academy's Corporate Training for the Mexican Department of Defense

Corporate training to Secretara de la Defensa Nacional (the Mexican Department of Defense) from The Tech Academy.

Online PR News – 12-January-2022The Tech Academy is excited to announce its collaboration with Secretara de la Defensa Nacional (the Mexican Department of Defense) to train its personnel in the technology field.

With modern technology developing at an exponential rate, many professions are finding themselves at a lack of technology training in their personnel. This leads many to rely on third parties for developing software. The Secretara de la Defensa Nacional recognizes the disadvantage they are faced with and they have partnered with us to train their officers in becoming technologically proficient.

The Tech Academy was chosen to deliver this intensive training program by the Secretara de la Defensa Nacional due to our thorough corporate training program.

The Tech Academy has a portfolio of delivering Corporate training to the US AirForce, CarMax, Intuit, Concordia University, Lexicon Solutions, CorSource Technology Group, and more.

The Tech Academy is a technology school that delivers accessible coding boot camps in a variety of different specializations. The Tech Academy also offers corporate training in software development, web development, project management and more. Our corporate training program is offered online, in person at one of The Tech Academys campuses or we can also provide an in-person instructor to deliver live training to your employees at your office.

The purpose of this partnership is to have military students gain the skills needed to then project back into their departments and have a positive impact within the military. The military students will become well rounded junior-level software developers at The Tech Academys Portland campus. They will learn computer science fundamentals, web development, alongside learning some of the most popular and in demand programming languages.

Our Portland Campus offers amenities that cater your needs when training in person. We offer one-on-one assistance from our instructors in our classroom as well as a game room, lunch room and several food options walking distance from our campus.

The Tech academy is honored to be involved in this partnership and is looking forward to future collaborations with the Secretara de la Defensa Nacional.
