Georgia Hunter selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by IAOTP

North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - 12-30-2022 -

Georgia Hunter, Canadian Author, Artist, Producer and Writer at Blue Crow Books, was recently chosen to receive the Empowered Woman of the Year Award for 2023 given by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her exemplary role as a female professional and inclusive leader displays her influence, capability, and proficiency.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) is an honor in itself; only a few women are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, and contributions to their communities. With innovation and compassion, these women empower others to reach their goals while creating change for future generations. Georgia has established herself as a multi-talented visual artist with over 20 years of professional experience. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated success and gained recognition within the art community on a global scale. She is an award-winning children's author whose books incorporate her creativity and life experiences. Georgia currently resides in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 

Georgia studied Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia before embarking on her career path. She studied Visual Communications at Medicine Hat College and expanded her sculpture skills at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. She is a bronze sculptor. Georgia’s sculptures are in collections in Canada, England and the USA.

Georgia has enjoyed a lifelong interest in writing and illustrating children’s books. She returned to the University of British Columbia to further her studies in writing and editing. She is the author/illustrator of five children’s books. The most recent book titled TABHI was a finalist in the Whistler Independent Writer’s Festival 2022. TABHI has since been translated into French and Russian.

Her impressive repertoire of prior roles have included teaching for the Vancouver School Board and Medicine Hat College in Alberta. Throughout her illustrious career, Georgia has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the arts. She was named IAOTP's Top Children's Author of the Year. This year, she will be considered for a feature article in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and the International Association of Top Professionals' Lifetime Achievement Award (IAOTP).

Aside from her successful career, Georgia is a member of the Circumnavigators' Club and has lived in other countries for extended periods. Her travels have influenced her writing and visual art.

She provides pure joy to her readers and visionary leadership as a female entrepreneur. Her extraordinary accomplishments prove she will empower women worldwide.
